Sarah Seulki Oh is a New-York based Korean producer who recieved her MFA in Creative Producing at Columbia University’s graduate film program.

 

She was recently awarded the “Entertainment Partners (EP) Best Producers Award”, which is given to single recipient for continued excellence in Creative Producing. She was also the recipient of 2014 “HBO Producers Production Grant” and the “Arthur Krim Memorial Award”.

 

In the last three years Sarah has produced a number of international short films, in countries including Italy, Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, and United States. Many of her films have played at festivals around the world.

 

Sarah has heavy background in finance and investor relations prior to film school as she felt it was important learn how money works. As a storyteller in heart, she kept her string to film by assisting independent films and theatre productions get financed. 

 

"Film was what filled in the gap between my world as a Korean American and my very conservative Korean parents as growing up."

 

She says that many unanswered or unexplained things in life was learned through the lives of characters in film. Regardless of its genre, she hopes to produce films that speak to individuals in different ways.
